By having an all-wheel drive vehicle, power is constantly being supplied to all four wheels which provides you with outstanding grip in all weather conditions and terrain. Every trim of the CR-V comes standard as a two wheel drive vehicle and you have to pay almost $1,500 more for their less capable all-wheel drive system.



The Subaru Crosstrek offers a wide array of tech features whether it be advanced safety features or music streaming. The Honda CR-V however offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but not on every trim level. Which means you have to buy a more expensive trim level. But the Crosstrek offers music streaming for all and offers either a 6.5-inch or 8-inch STARLINK Multimedia system.

Like the CR-V the Toyota RAV4 is also very similar to the Subaru Crosstrek, but does have noticeable differences. Like price tag. The RAV4 has a starting MRSP of $24,410 and goes up to $34,750. The Subaru Crosstrek top trim level only costs $26,295. What you get for your money makes the Subaru Crosstrek a clear winner when comparing the two vehicles.


Versatility & Capability

Subarus are made for the adventurer seekers every trim level is equipped for multiple adventures. The Subaru Crosstrek offers 100.9 cubic feet of passenger volume with 60/40 folding seats, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and integrated roof rails that all come standard. The RAV4 only offers 7 inches of ground clearance and doesn't not have integrated roof rails; but you can purchase them as an add-on feature.


Powertrain & Performance

As we already mentioned every Crosstrek comes standard with Subarus legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Every new Crosstrek also comes standard with Active Torque Vectoring and a newly updated Subaru BOXER Engine. The Crosstrek's Vehicle Dynamics Control with Active Torque Vectoring provides you with sharper steering and more stable handling. By automatically sensing steering and braking inputs, active Torque Vectoring will help keep you on your intended path. The Toyota RAV4 only offers Dynamic Torque Control and it is not available on every model. The Crosstrek is powered by a smaller engine than the Toyota RAV4. But the Crosstrek is in no way less powerful. The 150 horsepower 2.0-liter engine has a tow rating of 1,500 lbs. and gets an EPA estimated 33 highway MPG. The Toyota RAV4 only gets 30 highway mpg.
