What is the Subaru Love Promise?

The Subaru Love Promise is just that. A promise. It is a promise to do right by our community by partnering with nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations - to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners. To be unlike any other car company by doing what is right and good, just for the sake of doing it.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We at Subaru of America stay true to the Love Promise by partnering with a wide variety of nonprofits and charities. In addition to these partnerships, every year Subaru, our owners, and our retailers join hands in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to charities across the country. Over the past 20 years, Subaru of America has donated over 50 million dollars to causes we care about, and logged over 28,000 volunteer hours.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people. Just like the Fullerton Meals on Wheels organization.

We are so grateful to Renick for designating our meal delivery program as
their Hometown Charity for the 2015 Share the Love Campaign. The
$6,352.00 donation represents 1307 meals for low-income homebound residents
of Fullerton. We have been delivering meals to homebound Fullerton residents
for 42 years. While we have no age limits, most of our clients are elderly
and frail dealing with a variety of physical and mental health challenges.
During 2014-15, our 275 volunteers 5380 hours of service and delivered
35,972 meals. Since our beginning in
1974 we have delivered 1,573,110 meals!

We could not continue this vital community service without the kindness of
friends like Renick Cadillac Subaru and Subaru of America, Inc. We thank you
for choosing our program for your charitable giving.

Best Regard,

Sandra White, President

Love Promise Stories from Renick Subaru

Exceptional service  –  Kelvin P

Exceptional service

I was greeted with awesome customer service at the service desk by Louis Verdieu as I was checking in. After he helped me check everything in he escorted me to waiting area to where I was taken home with a shuttle. Throughout the day I was texted by Louis about status of the car, where is was, and estimated time it would take before it was finished. After everything Was finished I left and went home and did not think much of what I experienced till I decided a text from Louis asking me if everything was running well and if I had and problems post servicing. In my opinion I really enjoyed the customer service provided by Louis and how he followed up on every step of the way.

Renick Subaru and the Fullerton Meals on Wheels

Renick Subaru has been working with the Fullerton Meals on Wheels for several years. We are pleased to partner with the Fullerton Meals on Wheels each year as our hometown Share the love partner. This year Renick Subaru was able to raise the most money yet for our Hometown partners. Our team has gone on delivery routes and we have seen first hand the importance of this charity. For many homebound individuals these are the only meals that they will eat. The dedication of the team at the Fullerton Meals on Wheels is heartwarming and very inspiring. They donate much of their personal time to getting these meals delivered to the recipients. Some people deliver everyday, some once a week, some once a month. Renick Subaru is a proud sponsor of the Fullerton Meals on Wheels

Renick Subaru Loves to care event  –  Sherry H

On Sunday June 4th, 2017, Renick Subaru Partnered with Kaiser of Anaheim and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support an event at the Hospitals Oncology site. Renick Subaru, along with the assistance of two local high school students working for community service credits, worked with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at a booth to raise awareness and support for this disease. We had a wheel spinning game and we had fantastic giveaway items. With the generosity of Subaru of America, we passed out blankets at the event and we met survivors and patients currently battling their cancers. Throughout the event the names of cancer survivors were being read out over the loud speaker and we could hear cheers and celebrations throughout the fair celebrating these miracles. It was truly moving to be a part of this event.

Subaru Loves To Learn  –  Sherry H

Subaru Loves To Learn

Seniors Ryan Finlay and Micah Stephens from La Habra High School won third place at the 2017 National Automotive Technology Competition held during the New York Auto Show. The team, which is part of the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (ROP), was led by instructor, Enrique Aispuro, and received training and support from Renick Subaru leading up to the competition. The students competed against high school teams from around the country during the two-day competition. Each team of students was assigned an automobile that is rigged to malfunction in a number of ways. Using a repair order with actual customer complaints, the student teams must diagnose and repair the problem within the allotted time, using the manufacturer's specialty tools. The students knowledge of emissions control systems, alignment, electrical test equipment, air bag components, oscilloscope usage and mechanical measurement equipment is tested during a series of intensive work sessions. Renick Subaru's Senior Master Technicians, Ron Whinnery and David Summers work with the students at the dealership and attend the local competitions with the instructor and the students. Renick Subaru is proud to partner in the cultivation of talent in the next generation of Subaru Technicians. We are proud of our Master Senior Technicians and the work that they do in our shop and our local Schools.

Partnership with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society  –  Khushbindar S

Partnership with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Renick Subaru in Fullerton partnered with the local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Orange County Inland Empire Chapter to deliver blankets to cancer survivors at Kaiser Permanente’s National Cancer Survivor’s Day event in Anaheim on June 4. Volunteers from Renick Subaru. Fullerton along with staff and volunteers from Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Orange County Inland Empire Chapter attended the event attended by over 500 cancer survivors, patients and their families. Subaru and LLS distributed blankets, craft kits and other items to about 250 to 270 individuals who visited the booth. Volunteers from LLS’s First Connection program also provided patient education information and answered questions. Individuals shared their cancer stories and the importance of being there for others as they go through their cancer treatment. Several individuals signed up to receive patient education information as well as to sign up to volunteer to help other patients with their cancer journey. One individual shared his story of being a survivor and currently homeless and is living in his car. Another individual, who signed up to be a First Connection volunteer, shared his journey about being a non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor and how much joy he receives by giving back his time to others on their cancer journey. Subaru and LLS provided a resource and a gentle reminder that survivors and family members have a social support network that they can connect with during their cancer journey.
